1
Hear,
O
Israel:
Thou
art
to
pass
over
Jordan
this
day,
to
go
in
to
possess
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
thyself,
cities
great
and
fenced
up
to
heaven,
2
A
people
great
and
tall,
the
children
of
the
Anakims,
whom
thou
knowest,
and
of
whom
thou
hast
heard
say,
Who
can
stand
before
the
children
of
Anak!
3
Understand
therefore
this
day,
that
the
LORD
thy
God
is
he
which
goeth
over
before
thee;
as
a
consuming
fire
he
shall
destroy
them,
and
he
shall
bring
them
down
before
thy
face:
so
shalt
thou
drive
them
out,
and
destroy
them
quickly,
as
the
LORD
hath
said
unto
thee.
4
Speak
not
thou
in
thine
heart,
after
that
the
LORD
thy
God
hath
cast
them
out
from
before
thee,
saying,
For
my
righteousness
the
LORD
hath
brought
me
in
to
possess
this
land:
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
LORD
doth
drive
them
out
from
before
thee.
5
Not
for
thy
righteousness,
or
for
the
uprightness
of
thine
heart,
dost
thou
go
to
possess
their
land:
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
LORD
thy
God
doth
drive
them
out
from
before
thee,
and
that
he
may
perform
the
word
which
the
LORD
sware
unto
thy
fathers,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
6
Understand
therefore,
that
the
LORD
thy
God
giveth
thee
not
this
good
land
to
possess
it
for
thy
righteousness;
for
thou
art
a
stiffnecked
people.
7
Remember,
and
forget
not,
how
thou
provokedst
the
LORD
thy
God
to
wrath
in
the
wilderness:
from
the
day
that
thou
didst
depart
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt,
until
ye
came
unto
this
place,
ye
have
been
rebellious
against
the
LORD.
8
Also
in
Horeb
ye
provoked
the
LORD
to
wrath,
so
that
the
LORD
was
angry
with
you
to
have
destroyed
you.
9
When
I
was
gone
up
into
the
mount
to
receive
the
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant
which
the
LORD
made
with
you,
then
I
abode
in
the
mount
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
I
neither
did
eat
bread
nor
drink
water:
10
And
the
LORD
delivered
unto
me
two
tables
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God;
and
on
them
was
written
according
to
all
the
words,
which
the
LORD
spake
with
you
in
the
mount
out
of
the
midst
of
the
fire
in
the
day
of
the
assembly.
11
And
it
came
to
pass
at
the
end
of
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
that
the
LORD
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant.
12
And
the
LORD
said
unto
me,
Arise,
get
thee
down
quickly
from
hence;
for
thy
people
which
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
have
corrupted
themselves;
they
are
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
them
a
molten
image.
13
Furthermore
the
LORD
spake
unto
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiffnecked
people:
14
Let
me
alone,
that
I
may
destroy
them,
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
heaven:
and
I
will
make
of
thee
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mount,
and
the
mount
burned
with
fire:
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
I
looked,
and,
behold,
ye
had
sinned
against
the
LORD
your
God,
and
had
made
you
a
molten
calf:
ye
had
turned
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
the
LORD
had
commanded
you.
17
And
I
took
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
brake
them
before
your
eyes.
18
And
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights:
I
did
neither
eat
bread,
nor
drink
water,
because
of
all
your
sins
which
ye
sinned,
in
doing
wickedly
in
the
sight
of
the
LORD,
to
provoke
him
to
anger.
19
For
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
and
hot
displeasure,
wherewith
the
LORD
was
wroth
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
the
LORD
hearkened
unto
me
at
that
time
also.
20
And
the
LORD
was
very
angry
with
Aaron
to
have
destroyed
him:
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
the
same
time.
21
And
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
ye
had
made,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
stamped
it,
and
ground
it
very
small,
even
until
it
was
as
small
as
dust:
and
I
cast
the
dust
thereof
into
the
brook
that
descended
out
of
the
mount.
22
And
at
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
Kibroth-hattaavah,
ye
provoked
the
LORD
to
wrath.
23
Likewise
when
the
LORD
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
you;
then
ye
rebelled
against
the
commandment
of
the
LORD
your
God,
and
ye
believed
him
not,
nor
hearkened
to
his
voice.
24
Ye
have
been
rebellious
against
the
LORD
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
Thus
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
as
I
fell
down
at
the
first;
because
the
LORD
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
therefore
unto
the
LORD,
and
said,
O
Lord
GOD,
destroy
not
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
which
thou
hast
redeemed
through
thy
greatness,
which
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
thy
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
look
not
unto
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness,
nor
to
their
sin:
28
Lest
the
land
whence
thou
broughtest
us
out
say,
Because
the
LORD
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
he
promised
them,
and
because
he
hated
them,
he
hath
brought
them
out
to
slay
them
in
the
wilderness.
29
Yet
they
are
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
which
thou
broughtest
out
by
thy
mighty
power
and
by
thy
stretched
out
arm.

9

Arise

13
Furthermore
the

15
So
I

16
And

17
And

18
And
I

For

But
the

me
at

H6471

20
And
the

21
And
I
took
H3947
your

H2403
,
the

H5695
which
H834
RPRO
ye

made
H6213

and
burnt
H8313
it

H784

H3807
it

H2912
it

H3190

even
until
H5704
PREP
it
H834
RPRO
was

and
I
cast

H5158
that
descended
H3381

22
And
at

H6914
-

ye

23
Likewise
when

H776

which

then
ye
rebelled

H4784
the

EDS
your

24
Ye

H3068
EDS
from

M-NMS
that

25
Thus
I
fell

H5307

H6440
L-CMP
the

H3068
EDS
forty
H705
MMP

H3117
D-AMS

forty
H705
MMP
nights
H3915
D-AMS
,
as
H834

I

26
I
prayed
H6419

the

H3068
EDS

H559
W-VQY1MS

11
`And

and
forty
nights,
Jehovah
hath
given
unto
me
the
two

12
and
Jehovah
saith
unto
me,
Rise,
go

this,
for
thy

corruptly,
whom
thou
hast
brought
out

they
have
turned
aside
hastily
out
of
the
way
which
I
have
commanded
them
--
they
have
made
to
themselves
a
molten

13
`And
Jehovah
speaketh
unto
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and
lo,
a

it
is
;
14
desist

15
`And
I
turn,
and
come
down
from
the

and
the
mount
is
burning
with
fire,
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
on
my
two
hands,
16
and
I
see,
and
lo,
ye
have
sinned
against
Jehovah
your
God;
ye
have
made
to
yourselves
a
molten
calf;
ye
have
turned
aside
hastily
out
of

way
which
Jehovah
hath
commanded
you.
17
`And
I
lay
hold
on
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
break
them
before
your
eyes,
18
and
I
throw
myself
before
Jehovah,
as
at
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
bread
I
have

eaten,
and
water
I

which
ye
have
sinned,
by

the
evil
thing

fury
with
which
Jehovah
hath
been
wroth
against
you,
to

1
Hear,
O
Israel:
thou
art
to
pass
over
the
Jordan
this
day,
to
go
in
to
dispossess
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
thyself,
cities
great
and
fortified
up
to
heaven,
2
a
people
great
and
tall,
the
sons
of
the
Anakim,
whom
thou
knowest,
and
of
whom
thou
hast
heard
say,
Who
can
stand
before
the
sons
of
Anak?
3
Know
therefore
this
day,
that
Jehovah
thy
God
is
he
who
goeth
over
before
thee
as
a
devouring
fire;
he
will
destroy
them,
and
he
will
bring
them
down
before
thee:
so
shalt
thou
drive
them
out,
and
make
them
to
perish
quickly,
as
Jehovah
hath
spoken
unto
thee.
4
Speak
not
thou
in
thy
heart,
after
that
Jehovah
thy
God
hath
thrust
them
out
from
before
thee,
saying,
For
my
righteousness
Jehovah
hath
brought
me
in
to
possess
this
land;
whereas
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
Jehovah
doth
drive
them
out
from
before
thee.
5
Not
for
thy
righteousness,
or
for
the
uprightness
of
thy
heart,
dost
thou
go
in
to
possess
their
land;
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
Jehovah
thy
God
doth
drive
them
out
from
before
thee,
and
that
he
may
establish
the
word
which
Jehovah
sware
unto
thy
fathers,
to
Abraham,
to
Isaac,
and
to
Jacob.
6
Know
therefore,
that
Jehovah
thy
God
giveth
thee
not
this
good
land
to
possess
it
for
thy
righteousness;
for
thou
art
a
stiffnecked
people.
7
Remember,
forget
thou
not,
how
thou
provokedst
Jehovah
thy
God
to
wrath
in
the
wilderness:
from
the
day
that
thou
wentest
forth
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt,
until
ye
came
unto
this
place,
ye
have
been
rebellious
against
Jehovah.
8
Also
in
Horeb
ye
provoked
Jehovah
to
wrath,
and
Jehovah
was
angry
with
you
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
was
gone
up
into
the
mount
to
receive
the
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant
which
Jehovah
made
with
you,
then
I
abode
in
the
mount
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
neither
eat
bread
nor
drink
water.
10
And
Jehovah
delivered
unto
me
the
two
tables
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God;
and
on
them
was
written
according
to
all
the
words,
which
Jehovah
speak
with
you
in
the
mount
out
of
the
midst
of
the
fire
in
the
day
of
the
assembly.
11
And
it
came
to
pass
at
the
end
of
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
that
Jehovah
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant.
12
And
Jehovah
said
unto
me,
Arise,
get
thee
down
quickly
from
hence;
for
thy
people
that
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
have
corrupted
themselves;
they
are
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
them
a
molten
image.
13
Furthermore
Jehovah
spake
unto
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiffnecked
people:
14
let
me
alone,
that
I
may
destroy
them,
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
heaven;
and
I
will
make
of
thee
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mount,
and
the
mount
was
burning
with
fire:
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
I
looked,
and,
behold,
ye
had
sinned
against
Jehovah
your
God;
ye
had
made
you
a
molten
calf:
ye
had
turned
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
Jehovah
had
commanded
you.
17
And
I
took
hold
of
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
brake
them
before
your
eyes.
18
And
I
fell
down
before
Jehovah,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
neither
eat
bread
nor
drink
water;
because
of
all
your
sin
which
ye
sinned,
in
doing
that
which
was
evil
in
the
sight
of
Jehovah,
to
provoke
him
to
anger.
19
For
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
and
hot
displeasure,
wherewith
Jehovah
was
wroth
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
Jehovah
hearkened
unto
me
that
time
also.
20
And
Jehovah
was
very
angry
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him:
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
at
the
same
time.
21
And
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
ye
had
made,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
stamped
it,
grinding
it
very
small,
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust:
and
I
cast
the
dust
thereof
into
the
brook
that
descended
out
of
the
mount.
22
And
at
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
Kibroth-hattaavah,
ye
provoked
Jehovah
to
wrath.
23
And
when
Jehovah
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
you;
then
ye
rebelled
against
the
commandment
of
Jehovah
your
God,
and
ye
believed
him
not,
nor
hearkened
to
his
voice.
24
Ye
have
been
rebellious
against
Jehovah
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
So
I
fell
down
before
Jehovah
the
forty
days
and
forty
nights
that
I
fell
down,
because
Jehovah
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
And
I
prayed
unto
Jehovah,
and
said,
O
Lord
Jehovah,
destroy
not
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
that
thou
hast
redeemed
through
thy
greatness,
that
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
thy
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
look
not
unto
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness,
nor
to
their
sin,
28
lest
the
land
whence
thou
broughtest
us
out
say,
Because
Jehovah
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
he
promised
unto
them,
and
because
he
hated
them,
he
hath
brought
them
out
to
slay
them
in
the
wilderness.
29
Yet
they
are
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
which
thou
broughtest
out
by
thy
great
power
and
by
thine

1
Hear,
Israel:
you
are
to
pass
over
the
Jordan
this
day,
to
go
in
to
dispossess
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
yourself,
cities
great
and
fortified
up
to
the
sky,
2
a
people
great
and
tall,
the
sons
of
the
Anakim,
whom
you
know,
and
of
whom
you
have
heard
say,
Who
can
stand
before
the
sons
of
Anak?
3
Know
therefore
this
day,
that
Yahweh
your
God
is
he
who
goes
over
before
you
as
a
devouring
fire;
he
will
destroy
them,
and
he
will
bring
them
down
before
you:
so
shall
you
drive
them
out,
and
make
them
to
perish
quickly,
as
Yahweh
has
spoken
to
you.
4
Don't
speak
in
your
heart,
after
that
Yahweh
your
God
has
thrust
them
out
from
before
you,
saying,
For
my
righteousness
Yahweh
has
brought
me
in
to
possess
this
land;
whereas
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
Yahweh
does
drive
them
out
from
before
you.
5
Not
for
your
righteousness,
or
for
the
uprightness
of
your
heart,
do
you
go
in
to
possess
their
land;
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
Yahweh
your
God
does
drive
them
out
from
before
you,
and
that
he
may
establish
the
word
which
Yahweh
swore
to
your
fathers,
to
Abraham,
to
Isaac,
and
to
Jacob.
6
Know
therefore,
that
Yahweh
your
God
doesn't
give
you
this
good
land
to
possess
it
for
your
righteousness;
for
you
are
a
stiff-necked
people.
7
Remember,
don't
forget,
how
you
provoked
Yahweh
your
God
to
wrath
in
the
wilderness:
from
the
day
that
you
went
forth
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt,
until
you
came
to
this
place,
you
have
been
rebellious
against
Yahweh.
8
Also
in
Horeb
you
provoked
Yahweh
to
wrath,
and
Yahweh
was
angry
with
you
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
was
gone
up
onto
the
mountain
to
receive
the
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant
which
Yahweh
made
with
you,
then
I
stayed
on
the
mountain
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
neither
eat
bread
nor
drink
water.
10
Yahweh
delivered
to
me
the
two
tables
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God;
and
on
them
was
written
according
to
all
the
words,
which
Yahweh
spoke
with
you
on
the
mountain
out
of
the
midst
of
the
fire
in
the
day
of
the
assembly.
11
It
came
to
pass
at
the
end
of
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
that
Yahweh
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant.
12
Yahweh
said
to
me,
Arise,
get
you
down
quickly
from
hence;
for
your
people
whom
you
have
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
have
corrupted
themselves;
they
have
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
them
a
molten
image.
13
Furthermore
Yahweh
spoke
to
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiff-necked
people:
14
let
me
alone,
that
I
may
destroy
them,
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
the
sky;
and
I
will
make
of
you
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mountain,
and
the
mountain
was
burning
with
fire:
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
I
looked,
and,
behold,
you
had
sinned
against
Yahweh
your
God;
you
had
made
you
a
molten
calf:
you
had
turned
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
Yahweh
had
commanded
you.
17
I
took
hold
of
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
broke
them
before
your
eyes.
18
I
fell
down
before
Yahweh,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
neither
eat
bread
nor
drink
water;
because
of
all
your
sin
which
you
sinned,
in
doing
that
which
was
evil
in
the
sight
of
Yahweh,
to
provoke
him
to
anger.
19
For
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
and
hot
displeasure,
with
which
Yahweh
was
angry
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
Yahweh
listened
to
me
that
time
also.
20
Yahweh
was
very
angry
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him:
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
at
the
same
time.
21
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
you
had
made,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
stamped
it,
grinding
it
very
small,
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust:
and
I
cast
the
dust
of
it
into
the
brook
that
descended
out
of
the
mountain.
22
At
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
Kibroth-hattaavah,
you
provoked
Yahweh
to
wrath.
23
When
Yahweh
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
you;
then
you
rebelled
against
the
commandment
of
Yahweh
your
God,
and
you
didn't
believe
him,
nor
listen
to
his
voice.
24
You
have
been
rebellious
against
Yahweh
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
So
I
fell
down
before
Yahweh
the
forty
days
and
forty
nights
that
I
fell
down,
because
Yahweh
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
to
Yahweh,
and
said,
Lord
Yahweh,
don't
destroy
your
people
and
your
inheritance,
that
you
have
redeemed
through
your
greatness,
that
you
have
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
your
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
don't
look
to
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness,
nor
to
their
sin,
28
lest
the
land
whence
you
brought
us
out
say,
Because
Yahweh
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
he
promised
to
them,
and
because
he
hated
them,
he
has
brought
them
out
to
kill
them
in
the
wilderness.
29
Yet
they
are
your
people
and
your
inheritance,
which
you
brought
out
by
your
great
power
and
by
your
outstretched
arm.

hence;
for
thy
people
which
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
have
corrupted
themselves;
they
are
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
them
a
molten
image.
13
Furthermore
the
LORD
spake
unto
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiffnecked
people:
14
let
me
alone,
that
I
may
destroy
them,
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
heaven:
and
I
will
make
of
thee
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mount,
and
the
mount
burned
with
fire:
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
I
looked,
and,
behold,
ye
had
sinned
against
the
LORD
your
God;
ye
had
made
you
a
molten
calf:
ye
had
turned
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
the
LORD
had
commanded
you.
17
And
I
took
hold
of
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
brake
them
before
your
eyes.
18
And
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
neither
eat
bread
nor
drink
water;
because
of
all
your
sin
which
ye
sinned,
in
doing
that
which
was
evil
in
the
sight
of
the
LORD,
to
provoke
him
to
anger.
19
For
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
and
hot
displeasure,
wherewith
the
LORD
was
wroth
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
the
LORD
hearkened
unto
me
that
time
also.
20
And
the
LORD
was
very
angry
with
Aaron
to
have
destroyed
him:
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
the
same
time.
21
And
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
ye
had
made,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
stamped
it,
grinding
it
very
small,
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust:
and
I
cast
the
dust
thereof
into
the
brook
that
descended
out
of
the
mount.
22
And
at
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
Kibroth-hattaavah,
ye
provoked
the
LORD
to
wrath.
23
And
when
the
LORD
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
you;
then
ye
rebelled
against
the
commandment
of
the
LORD
your
God,
and
ye
believed
him
not,
nor
hearkened
to
his
voice.
24
Ye
have
been
rebellious
against
the
LORD
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
So
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD
the
forty
days
and
forty
nights
that
I
fell
down;
because
the
LORD
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
And
I
prayed
unto
the
LORD,
and
said,
O
Lord
GOD,
destroy
not
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
which
thou
hast
redeemed
through
thy
greatness,
which
thou
hast
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
thy
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
look
not
unto
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness,
nor
to
their
sin:
28
lest
the
land
whence
thou
broughtest
us
out
say,
Because
the
LORD
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
he
promised
unto
them,
and
because
he
hated
them,
he
hath
brought
them
out
to
slay
them
in
the
wilderness.
29
Yet
they
are
thy
people
and
thine
inheritance,
which
thou
broughtest
out
by
thy
great
power
and
by
thy
stretched
out
arm.

1
Hear,
O
Israel:
You
are
to
pass
over
Jordan
this
day,
to
go
in
to
possess
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
yourself,
cities
great
and
fenced
up
to
heaven,
2
A
people
great
and
tall,
the
children
of
the
Anakims,
whom
you
know,
and
of
whom
you
have
heard
say,
Who
can
stand
before
the
children
of
Anak!
3
Understand
therefore
this
day,
that
the
LORD
your
God
is
he
which
goes
over
before
you;
as
a
consuming
fire
he
shall
destroy
them,
and
he
shall
bring
them
down
before
your
face:
so
shall
you
drive
them
out,
and
destroy
them
quickly,
as
the
LORD
has
said
to
you.
4
Speak
not
you
in
your
heart,
after
that
the
LORD
your
God
has
cast
them
out
from
before
you,
saying,
For
my
righteousness
the
LORD
has
brought
me
in
to
possess
this
land:
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
LORD
does
drive
them
out
from
before
you.
5
Not
for
your
righteousness,
or
for
the
uprightness
of
your
heart,
do
you
go
to
possess
their
land:
but
for
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
LORD
your
God
does
drive
them
out
from
before
you,
and
that
he
may
perform
the
word
which
the
LORD
swore
to
your
fathers,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
6
Understand
therefore,
that
the
LORD
your
God
gives
you
not
this
good
land
to
possess
it
for
your
righteousness;
for
you
are
a
stiff
necked
people.
7
Remember,
and
forget
not,
how
you
provoked
the
LORD
your
God
to
wrath
in
the
wilderness:
from
the
day
that
you
did
depart
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt,
until
you
came
to
this
place,
you
have
been
rebellious
against
the
LORD.
8
Also
in
Horeb
you
provoked
the
LORD
to
wrath,
so
that
the
LORD
was
angry
with
you
to
have
destroyed
you.
9
When
I
was
gone
up
into
the
mount
to
receive
the
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant
which
the
LORD
made
with
you,
then
I
stayed
in
the
mount
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
I
neither
did
eat
bread
nor
drink
water:
10
And
the
LORD
delivered
to
me
two
tables
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God;
and
on
them
was
written
according
to
all
the
words,
which
the
LORD
spoke
with
you
in
the
mount
out
of
the
middle
of
the
fire
in
the
day
of
the
assembly.
11
And
it
came
to
pass
at
the
end
of
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
that
the
LORD
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone,
even
the
tables
of
the
covenant.
12
And
the
LORD
said
to
me,
Arise,
get
you
down
quickly
from
hence;
for
your
people
which
you
have
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
have
corrupted
themselves;
they
are
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
them
a
molten
image.
13
Furthermore
the
LORD
spoke
to
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiff
necked
people:
14
Let
me
alone,
that
I
may
destroy
them,
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
heaven:
and
I
will
make
of
you
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mount,
and
the
mount
burned
with
fire:
and
the
two
tables
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
I
looked,
and,
behold,
you
had
sinned
against
the
LORD
your
God,
and
had
made
you
a
molten
calf:
you
had
turned
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
the
LORD
had
commanded
you.
17
And
I
took
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
broke
them
before
your
eyes.
18
And
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights:
I
did
neither
eat
bread,
nor
drink
water,
because
of
all
your
sins
which
you
sinned,
in
doing
wickedly
in
the
sight
of
the
LORD,
to
provoke
him
to
anger.
19
For
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
and
hot
displeasure,
with
which
the
LORD
was
wroth
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
the
LORD
listened
to
me
at
that
time
also.
20
And
the
LORD
was
very
angry
with
Aaron
to
have
destroyed
him:
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
the
same
time.
21
And
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
you
had
made,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
stamped
it,
and
ground
it
very
small,
even
until
it
was
as
small
as
dust:
and
I
cast
the
dust
thereof
into
the
brook
that
descended
out
of
the
mount.
22
And
at
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
Kibrothhattaavah,
you
provoked
the
LORD
to
wrath.
23
Likewise
when
the
LORD
sent
you
from
Kadeshbarnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
you;
then
you
rebelled
against
the
commandment
of
the
LORD
your
God,
and
you
believed
him
not,
nor
listened
to
his
voice.
24
You
have
been
rebellious
against
the
LORD
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
Thus
I
fell
down
before
the
LORD
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
as
I
fell
down
at
the
first;
because
the
LORD
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
therefore
to
the
LORD,
and
said,
O
Lord
GOD,
destroy
not
your
people
and
your
inheritance,
which
you
have
redeemed
through
your
greatness,
which
you
have
brought
forth
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
your
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
look
not
to
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness,
nor
to
their
sin:
28
Lest
the
land

where
you
brought
us
out
say,
Because
the
LORD
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
he
promised
them,
and
because
he
hated
them,
he
has
brought
them
out
to
slay
them
in
the
wilderness.
29
Yet
they
are
your
people
and

1
Listen,
Israel:
Today
you
are
about
to
cross
the
Jordan
so
you
can
dispossess
the
nations
there,
people
greater
and
stronger
than
you
who
live
in
large
cities
with
extremely
high
fortifications.
2
They
include
the
Anakites,
a
numerous
and
tall
people
whom
you
know
about
and
of
whom
it
is
said,
"Who
is
able
to
resist
the
Anakites?"
3
Understand
today
that
the
LORD
your
God
who
goes
before
you
is
a
devouring
fire;
he
will
defeat
and
subdue
them
before
you.
You
will
dispossess
and
destroy
them
quickly
just
as
he
has
told
you.
4
Do
not
think
to
yourself
after
the
LORD
your
God
has
driven
them
out
before
you,
"Because
of
my
own
righteousness
the
LORD
has
brought
me
here
to
possess
this
land."
It
is
because
of
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
that
the
Lord
is
driving
them
out
ahead
of
you.
5
It
is
not
because
of
your
righteousness,
or
even
your
inner
uprightness,
that
you
have
come
here
to
possess
their
land.
Instead,
because
of
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
LORD
your
God
is
driving
them
out
ahead
of
you
in
order
to
confirm
the
promise
he
made
on
oath
to
your
ancestors,
to
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
6
Understand,
therefore,
that
it
is
not
because
of
your
righteousness
that
the
LORD
your
God
is
about
to
give
you
this
good
land
as
a
possession,
for
you
are
a
stubborn
people!
7
Remember—
don't
ever
forget—
how
you
provoked
the
LORD
your
God
in
the
desert;
from
the
time
you
left
the
land
of
Egypt
until
you
came
to
this
place
you
were
constantly
rebelling
against
him.
8
At
Horeb
you
provoked
him
and
he
was
angry
enough
with
you
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
went
up
the
mountain
to
receive
the
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
of
the
covenant
that
the
LORD
made
with
you,
I
remained
there
forty
days
and
nights,
eating
and
drinking
nothing.
10
The
LORD
gave
me
the
two
stone
tablets,
written
by
the
very
finger
of
God,
and
on
them
was
everything
he
said
to
you
at
the
mountain
from
the
midst
of
the
fire
at
the
time
of
that
assembly.
11
Now
at
the
end
of
the
forty
days
and
nights
the
LORD
presented
me
with
the
two
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
of
the
covenant.
12
And
he
said
to
me,
"Get
up,
go
down
at
once
from
here
because
your
people
whom
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
have
sinned!
They
have
quickly
turned
from
the
way
I
commanded
them
and
have
made
for
themselves
a
cast
metal
image."
13
Moreover,
he
said
to
me,
"I
have
taken
note
of
these
people;
they
are
a
stubborn
lot!
14
Stand
aside
and
I
will
destroy
them,
obliterating
their
very
name
from
memory,
and
I
will
make
you
into
a
stronger
and
more
numerous
nation
than
they
are."
15
So
I
turned
and
went
down
the
mountain
while
it
was
blazing
with
fire;
the
two
tablets
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
hands.
16
When
I
looked,
you
had
indeed
sinned
against
the
LORD
your
God
and
had
cast
for
yourselves
a
metal
calf;
you
had
quickly
turned
aside
from
the
way
he
had
commanded
you!
17
I
grabbed
the
two
tablets,
threw
them
down,
and
shattered
them
before
your
very
eyes.
18
Then
I
again
fell
down
before
the
LORD
for
forty
days
and
nights;
I
ate
and
drank
nothing
because
of
all
the
sin
you
had
committed,
doing
such
evil
before
the
LORD
as
to
enrage
him.
19
For
I
was
terrified
at
the
LORD's
intense
anger
that
threatened
to
destroy
you.
But
he
listened
to
me
this
time
as
well.
20
The
LORD
was
also
angry
enough
at
Aaron
to
kill
him,
but
at
that
time
I
prayed
for
him
too.
21
As
for
your
sinful
thing
that
you
had
made,
the
calf,
I
took
it,
melted
it
down,
ground
it
up
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust,
and
tossed
the
dust
into
the
stream
that
flows
down
the
mountain.
22
Moreover,
you
continued
to
provoke
the
LORD
at
Taberah,
Massah,
and
Kibroth-Hattaavah.
23
And
when
he
sent
you
from
Kadesh-Barnea
and
told
you,
"Go
up
and
possess
the
land
I
have
given
you,"
you
rebelled
against
the
LORD
your
God
and
would
neither
believe
nor
obey
him.
24
You
have
been
rebelling
against
him
from
the
very
first
day
I
knew
you!
25
I
lay
flat
on
the
ground
before
the
LORD
for
forty
days
and
nights,
for
he
had
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
to
him:
O,
Lord
GOD,
do
not
destroy
your
people,
your
valued
property
that
you
have
powerfully
redeemed,
whom
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
by
your
strength.
27
Remember
your
servants
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob;
ignore
the
stubbornness,
wickedness,
and
sin
of
these
people.
28
Otherwise
the
people
of
the
land
from
which
you
brought
us
will
say,
"The
LORD
was
unable
to
bring
them
to
the
land
he
promised
them,
and
because
of
his
hatred
for
them
he
has
brought
them
out
to
kill
them
in
the
desert."
29
They
are
your
people,
your
valued
property,
whom
you
brought
out
with
great
strength
and
power.

to
obey
him
from
the
day
you
left
the
land
of
Egypt
to
the
day
you
came
to
this
place.
8
You
made
the
Lord
angry
at
Mount
Horeb.
He
was
angry
enough
to
destroy
you!
9
I
went
up
the
mountain
to
get
the
stone
tablets.
The
agreement
that
the
Lord
made
with
you
was
written
on
those
stones.
I
stayed
on
the
mountain
40
days
and
40
nights.
I
did
not
eat
any
food
or
drink
any
water.
10
The
Lord
gave
me
the
two
stone
tablets.
He
wrote
his
commands
on
the
stones
with
his
finger.
He
wrote
everything
he
said
to
you
from
the
fire
when
you
were
gathered
together
at
the
mountain.
11
"So
at
the
end
of
40
days
and
40
nights,
the
Lord
gave
me
two
stone
tablets—the
stones
of
the
agreement.
12
Then
the
Lord
said
to
me,
'Get
up
and
quickly
go
down
from
here.
The
people
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
have
ruined
themselves.
They
stopped
obeying
my
commands
so
quickly.
They
melted
gold
and
made
an
idol
for
themselves.'
13
"The
Lord
also
said
to
me,
'I
have
watched
these
people.
They
are
very
stubborn!
14
Let
me
destroy
these
people
completely,
so
no
one
will
even
remember
their
names.
Then
I
will
make
another
nation
from
you
that
is
stronger
and
greater
than
these
people.'
15
"Then
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mountain.
The
mountain
was
burning
with
fire.
And
the
two
stone
tablets
of
the
agreement
were
in
my
hands.
16
I
looked
and
I
saw
you
had
sinned
against
the
Lord
your
God.
I
saw
the
calf
you
made
from
melted
gold!
You
stopped
obeying
the
Lord
so
quickly.
17
So
I
took
the
two
stone
tablets
and
threw
them
down.
There
before
your
eyes
I
broke
the
stones
into
pieces.
18
Then
I
bowed
down
before
the
Lord
with
my
face
to
the
ground
for
40
days
and
40
nights,
like
I
did
before.
I
did
not
eat
any
food
or
drink
any
water.
I
did
this
because
you
had
sinned
so
badly.
You
did
the
thing
that
is
evil
to
the
Lord,
and
you
made
him
angry.
19
I
was
afraid
of
the
Lord's
terrible
anger.
He
was
angry
enough
to
destroy
you,
but
the
Lord
listened
to
me
again.
20
The
Lord
was
very
angry
with
Aaron—enough
to
destroy
him!
So
I
also
prayed
for
Aaron
at
that
time.
21
I
took
that
terrible
thing—the
calf
you
made—and
burned
it
in
the
fire.
I
broke
it
into
small
pieces.
And
I
crushed
the
pieces
until
they
were
dust.
Then
I
threw
the
dust
into
the
river
that
came
down
from
the
mountain.
22
"Also,
at
Taberah,
Massah,
and
Kibroth
Hattaavah
you
made
the
Lord
angry.
23
And
you
did
not
obey
when
the
Lord
told
you
to
leave
Kadesh
Barnea.
He
said,
'Go
up
and
take
the
land
I
am
giving
you.'
But
you
refused
to
obey
the
Lord
your
God.
You
did
not
trust
him.
You
did
not
listen
to
his
command.
24
All
the
time
that
I
have
known
you,
you
have
refused
to
obey
the
Lord.
25
"So
I
bowed
down
before
the
Lord
40
days
and
40
nights,
because
Lord
said
he
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
to
the
Lord.
I
said,
Lord
God,
don't
destroy
your
people.
They
belong
to
you.
You
freed
them
and
brought
them
out
of
Egypt
with
your
great
power
and
strength.
27
Remember
your
promise
to
your
servants
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
Forget
how
stubborn
these
people
are.
Don't
look
at
their
evil
ways
or
their
sins.
28
If
you
punish
your
people,
the
Egyptians
might
say,
'The
Lord
was
not
able
to
take
his
people
into
the
land
he
promised
them.
And
he
hated
them.
So
he
took
them
into
the
desert
to
kill
them.'
29
But
they
are
your
people,
Lord.
They
belong
to
you.
You
brought
them
out
of
Egypt
with
your
great
power
and
strength.

So
what
was
the
law
for?
The
law
was
given
to

The

until
the
special

in

which

the

and
the

to
give
the
law
to
the
people.

1
Hear,
O
Israel:
Thou
goest
this
day
across
Jordan
to
inherit
nations
greater
and
stronger
than
yourselves,
cities
great
and
walled
up
to
heaven;
2
a
people
great
and
many
and
tall,
the
sons
of
Enac,
whom
thou
knowest,
and
concerning
whom
thou
hast
heard
say,
Who
can
stand
before
the
children
of
Enac?
3
And
thou
shalt
know
to-day,
that
the
Lord
thy
God
he
shall
go
before
thy
face:
he
is
a
consuming
fire;
he
shall
destroy
them,
and
he
shall
turn
them
back
before
thee,
and
shall
destroy
them
quickly,
as
the
Lord
said
to
thee.
4
Speak
not
in
thine
heart,
when
the
Lord
thy
God
has
destroyed
these
nations
before
thy
face,
saying,
For
my
righteousness
the
Lord
brought
me
in
to
inherit
this
good
land.
5
Not
for
thy
righteousness,
nor
for
the
holiness
of
thy
heart,
dost
thou
go
in
to
inherit
their
land,
but
because
of
the
wickedness
of
these
nations
the
Lord
will
destroy
them
from
before
thee,
and
that
he
may
establish
the
covenant,
which
the
Lord
sware
to
our
fathers,
to
Abraam,
and
to
Isaac,
and
to
Jacob.
6
And
thou
shalt
know
to-day,
that
it
is
not
for
thy
righteousnesses
the
Lord
thy
God
gives
thee
this
good
land
to
inherit,
for
thou
art
a
stiff-necked
people.
7
Remember,
forget
not,
how
much
thou
provokedst
the
Lord
thy
God
in
the
wilderness:
from
the
day
that
ye
came
forth
out
of
Egypt,
even
till
ye
came
into
this
place,
ye
continued
to
be
disobedient
toward
the
Lord.
8
Also
in
Choreb
ye
provoked
the
Lord,
and
the
Lord
was
angry
with
you
to
destroy
you;
9
when
I
went
up
into
the
mountain
to
receive
the
tables
of
stone,
the
tables
of
the
covenant,
which
the
Lord
made
with
you,
and
I
was
in
the
mountain
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
I
ate
no
bread
and
drank
no
water.
10
And
the
Lord
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God,
and
on
them
there
had
been
written
all
the
words
which
the
Lord
spoke
to
you
in
the
mountain
in
the
day
of
the
assembly.
11
And
it
came
to
pass
after
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
the
Lord
gave
me
the
two
tables
of
stone,
the
tables
of
the
covenant.
12
And
the
Lord
said
to
me,
Arise,
go
down
quickly
from
hence,
for
thy
people
whom
thou
broughtest
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt
have
transgressed;
they
have
gone
aside
quickly
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them,
and
have
made
themselves
a
molten
image.
13
And
the
Lord
spoke
to
me,
saying,
I
have
spoken
to
thee
once
and
again,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiff-necked
people.
14
And
now
suffer
me
utterly
to
destroy
them,
and
I
will
blot
out
their
name
from
under
heaven,
and
will
make
of
thee
a
nation
great
and
strong,
and
more
numerous
than
this.
15
And
I
turned
and
went
down
from
the
mountain;
and
the
mountain
burned
with
fire
to
heaven;
and
the
two
tables
of
the
testimonies
were
Gr.
on
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
when
I
saw
that
ye
had
sinned
against
the
Lord
your
God,
and
had
made
to
yourselves
a
molten
image,
and
had
gone
astray
out
of
the
way,
which
the
Lord
commanded
you
to
Gr.
to
do
keep;
17
then
I
took
hold
of
the
two
tables,
and
cast
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
broke
them
before
you.
18
And
I
made
my
petition
before
the
Lord
as
also
at
the
first
forty
days
and
forty
nights:
I
ate
no
bread
and
drank
no
water,
on
account
of
all
your
sins
which
ye
sinned
in
doing
evil
before
the
Lord
God
to
provoke
him.
19
And
I
Gr.
am
was
greatly
terrified
because
of
the
wrath
and
anger,
because
the
Lord
was
provoked
with
you
utterly
to
destroy
you;
yet
the
Lord
hearkened
to
me
at
this
time
also.
20
And
he
was
angry
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him
utterly,
and
I
prayed
for
Aaron
also
at
that
time.
21
And
your
sin
which
ye
had
made,
even
the
calf,
I
took,
and
burnt
it
with
fire,
and
pounded
it
and
ground
it
down
till
it
became
fine;
and
it
became
like
dust,
and
I
cast
the
dust
into
the
brook
that
descended
from
the
mountain.
22
Also
in
the
Heb.
Taberah,
Massah,
and
Kibroth
Hattaavah
burning,
and
in
the
temptation,
and
at
the
graves
of
lust,
ye
provoked
the
Lord.
23
And
when
the
Lord
sent
you
forth
from
Cades
Barne,
saying,
Go
up
and
inherit
the
land
which
I
give
to
you,
then
ye
disobeyed
the
word
of
the
Lord
your
God,
and
believed
him
not,
and
hearkened
not
to
his
voice.
24
Ye
were
disobedient
Or,
toward
the
Lord
in
the
things
relating
to
the
Lord
from
the
day
in
which
he
became
known
to
you.
25
And
I
prayed
before
the
Lord
forty
days
and
forty
nights,
the
number
that
I
prayed
before,
for
the
Lord
said
that
he
would
utterly
destroy
you.
26
And
I
prayed
to
God,
and
said,
O
Lord,
King
of
gods,
destroy
not
thy
people
and
thine
Gr.
portion
or
part
inheritance,
whom
thou
didst
redeem,
whom
thou
broughtest
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt
with
thy
great
power,
and
with
thy
strong
hand,
and
with
thy
high
arm.
27
Remember
Abraam,
and
Isaac,
and
Jacob
thy
servants,
to
whom
thou
swarest
by
thyself:
look
not
upon
the
hardness
of
heart
of
this
people,
and
their
impieties,

1
"Hear,
O
Israel!
You
are
crossing
over
the
Jordan
today
to
take
the
land
that
belongs
to
nations
greater
and
stronger
than
you,
with
big
cities
with
walls
as
high
as
heaven.
2
The
people
there
are
strong
and
tall,
the
sons
of
Anakim.
You
know
of
them
and
have
heard
it
said,
'Who
can
stand
in
front
of
the
sons
of
Anak?'
3
But
know
today
that
it
is
the
Lord
your
God
Who
is
crossing
over
before
you
as
a
fire
that
destroys
everything.
He
will
destroy
them
and
bring
them
down
before
you.
So
you
may
drive
them
out
and
be
quick
to
destroy
them,
just
as
the
Lord
has
told
you.
4
But
after
the
Lord
your
God
has
driven
them
out
before
you,
do
not
say
in
your
heart,
'The
Lord
has
brought
me
in
to
take
this
land
because
I
am
right
and
good.'
It
is
because
of
the
sin
of
these
nations
that
the
Lord
is
driving
them
out
in
front
of
you.
5
It
is
not
because
of
your
being
right
with
God
that
you
are
going
to
take
their
land.
But
it
is
because
of
the
sin
of
these
nations
that
the
Lord
your
God
is
driving
them
out
in
front
of
you.
By
this
the
Lord
is
proving
that
He
keeps
the
promise
He
made
to
your
fathers,
to
Abraham,
Isaac
and
Jacob.
6
Understand
that
it
is
not
because
you
are
right
with
God
that
the
Lord
your
God
is
giving
you
this
good
land
for
your
own,
for
you
are
a
strong-willed
people.
7
"Remember
and
do
not
forget
how
you
made
the
Lord
your
God
angry
in
the
desert.
You
have
gone
against
the
Lord
from
the
day
you
left
the
land
of
Egypt
until
you
came
to
this
place.
8
Even
at
Mount
Sinai
you
made
the
Lord
angry.
The
Lord
was
so
angry
with
you
that
He
would
have
destroyed
you.
9
I
went
up
the
mountain
to
receive
the
pieces
of
stone,
the
Laws
of
the
agreement
which
the
Lord
had
made
with
you.
I
stayed
on
the
mountain
forty
days
and
nights.
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water.
10
Then
the
Lord
gave
me
the
two
pieces
of
stone
written
by
the
finger
of
God.
On
them
were
all
the
words
the
Lord
had
spoken
with
you
on
the
mountain
from
the
fire
on
the
day
of
the
meeting.
11
At
the
end
of
forty
days
and
nights
the
Lord
gave
me
the
two
pieces
of
stone,
the
Laws
of
the
agreement.
12
Then
the
Lord
said
to
me,
'Get
up.
Hurry
and
go
down
from
here.
For
your
people
whom
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
have
become
very
sinful.
They
have
been
quick
to
turn
away
from
what
I
told
them.
They
have
made
a
false
god
for
themselves.'
13
And
the
Lord
said
to
me,
'I
have
seen
these
people.
See,
they
are
strong-willed.
14
Let
Me
alone,
so
I
may
destroy
them
and
destroy
their
name
from
under
heaven.
I
will
make
you
into
a
nation
that
will
be
greater
and
stronger
than
they.'
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mountain
while
the
mountain
was
burning
with
fire.
The
two
pieces
of
stone
of
the
agreement
were
in
my
two
hands.
16
And
I
saw
that
it
was
true
that
you
had
sinned
against
the
Lord
your
God.
You
had
made
for
yourselves
a
calf
out
of
gold.
You
had
been
quick
to
turn
away
from
what
the
Lord
had
told
you.
17
So
I
took
the
two
pieces
of
stone
and
threw
them
from
my
hands,
and
broke
them
in
front
of
your
eyes.
18
Then
again
I
fell
down
before
the
Lord
for
forty
days
and
nights.
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water,
because
of
all
the
sin
you
had
done.
You
did
what
was
sinful
in
the
eyes
of
the
Lord
and
made
Him
angry.
19
I
was
afraid
of
the
anger
of
the
Lord
which
was
burning
against
you
to
destroy
you.
But
the
Lord
listened
to
me
again.
20
The
Lord
was
angry
enough
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him.
So
I
prayed
for
Aaron
at
the
same
time
also.
21
Then
I
took
your
sinful
thing,
the
calf
you
had
made,
and
burned
it
with
fire
and
crushed
it.
I
ground
it
into
pieces
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust.
And
I
threw
its
dust
into
the
river
that
flowed
down
from
the
mountain.
22
"You
made
the
Lord
angry
again
at
Taberah,
Massah
and
Kibroth-hattaavah.
23
The
Lord
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
'Go
and
take
for
your
own
the
land
I
have
given
you.'
But
you
went
against
what
the
Lord
your
God
told
you
to
do.
You
did
not
believe
Him
or
listen
to
His
voice.
24
You
have
gone
against
the
Lord
from
the
day
I
first
knew
you.
25
"So
I
fell
down
before
the
Lord
and
lay
forty
days
and
nights,
because
the
Lord
had
said
He
would
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
to
the
Lord,
saying,
'O
Lord
God,
do
not
destroy
Your
people,
Your
chosen
nation,
whom
You
have
set
free
by
Your
power
and
brought
out
of
Egypt
with
a
strong
hand.
27
Remember
Your
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac
and
Jacob.
Do
not
look
at
the
strong
will
or
sin
or
wrong-doing
of
these
people.
28
Or
the
land
You
brought
us
from
may
say,
"The
Lord
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
He
promised
them.
Because
he
hated
them,
He
brought
them
out
to
kill
them
in
the
desert."
29
Yet
they
are
Your
people,
Your
chosen
nation,
whom
You
have
brought
out
by
Your
great
power
and
Your
long
arm.'

so
good."
No!
It
is
because
these
nations
are
evil
that
the
Lord
will
force
them
out
ahead
of
you.
5
You
are
going
in
to
take
the
land,
not
because
you
are
good
and
honest,
but
because
these
nations
are
evil.
That
is
why
the
Lord
your
God
will
force
them
out
ahead
of
you,
to
keep
his
promise
to
your
ancestors,
to
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
6
The
Lord
your
God
is
giving
you
this
good
land
to
take
as
your
own.
But
know
this:
It
is
not
because
you
are
good;
you
are
a
stubborn
people.
7
Remember
this
and
do
not
forget
it:
You
made
the
Lord
your
God
angry
in
the
desert.
You
would
not
obey
the
Lord
from
the
day
you
left
Egypt
until
you
arrived
here.
8
At
Mount
Sinai
you
made
the
Lord
angry
--
angry
enough
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
went
up
on
the
mountain
to
receive
the
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
with
the
Agreement
the
Lord
had
made
with
you,
I
stayed
on
the
mountain
for
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water.
10
The
Lord
gave
me
two
stone
tablets,
which
God
had
written
on
with
his
own
finger.
On
them
were
all
the
commands
that
the
Lord
gave
to
you
on
the
mountain
out
of
the
fire,
on
the
day
you
were
gathered
there.
11
When
the
forty
days
and
forty
nights
were
over,
the
Lord
gave
me
the
two
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
with
the
Agreement
on
them.
12
Then
the
Lord
told
me,
"Get
up
and
go
down
quickly
from
here,
because
the
people
you
brought
out
from
Egypt
are
ruining
themselves.
They
have
quickly
turned
away
from
what
I
commanded
and
have
made
an
idol
for
themselves."
13
The
Lord
said
to
me,
"I
have
watched
these
people,
and
they
are
very
stubborn!
14
Get
away
so
that
I
may
destroy
them
and
make
the
whole
world
forget
who
they
are.
Then
I
will
make
another
nation
from
you
that
will
be
bigger
and
stronger
than
they
are."
15
So
I
turned
and
came
down
the
mountain
that
was
burning
with
fire,
and
the
two
stone
tablets
with
the
Agreement
were
in
my
hands.
16
When
I
looked,
I
saw
you
had
sinned
against
the
Lord
your
God
and
had
made
an
idol
in
the
shape
of
a
calf.
You
had
quickly
turned
away
from
what
the
Lord
had
told
you
to
do.
17
So
I
took
the
two
stone
tablets
and
threw
them
down,
breaking
them
into
pieces
right
in
front
of
you.
18
Then
I
again
bowed
facedown
on
the
ground
before
the
Lord
for
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water.
You
had
sinned
by
doing
what
the
Lord
said
was
evil,
and
you
made
him
angry.
19
I
was
afraid
of
the
Lord's
anger
and
rage,
because
he
was
angry
enough
with
you
to
destroy
you,
but
the
Lord
listened
to
me
again.
20
And
the
Lord
was
angry
enough
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him,
but
then
I
prayed
for
Aaron,
too.
21
I
took
that
sinful
calf
idol
you
had
made
and
burned
it
in
the
fire.
I
crushed
it
into
a
powder
like
dust
and
threw
the
dust
into
a
stream
that
flowed
down
the
mountain.
22
You
also
made
the
Lord
angry
at
Taberah,
Massah,
and
Kibroth
Hattaavah.
23
Then
the
Lord
sent
you
away
from
Kadesh
Barnea
and
said,
"Go
up
and
take
the
land
I
have
given
you."
But
you
rejected
the
command
of
the
Lord
your
God.
You
did
not
trust
him
or
obey
him.
24
You
have
refused
to
obey
the
Lord
as
long
as
I
have
known
you.
25
The
Lord
had
said
he
would
destroy
you,
so
I
threw
myself
down
in
front
of
him
for
those
forty
days
and
forty
nights.
26
I
prayed
to
the
Lord
and
said,
"Lord
God,
do
not
destroy
your
people,
your
own
people,
whom
you
freed
and
brought
out
of
Egypt
by
your
great
power
and
strength.
27
Remember
your
servants
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
Don't
look
at
how
stubborn
these
people
are,
and
don't
look
at
their
sin
and
evil.
28
Otherwise,
Egypt
will
say,
'It
was
because
the
Lord
was
not
able
to
take
his
people
into
the
land
he
promised
them,
and
it
was
because
he
hated
them
that
he
took
them
into
the
desert
to
kill
them.'
29
But
they
are
your
people,
Lord,
your
own
people,
whom
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
with
your
great
power
and
strength."

So
Moses
wrote
down
these
teachings
and
gave
them
to

Israel.

While
Peter

"This

whom
I

I
am
very
pleased

Listen
to
him!"

he
has

us
what
God
is
like.

So
what
was
the
law
for?
It
was
given
to
show
that
the
wrong
things
people
do
are
against
God's
will.
And
it
continued
until
the
special
descendant,
who
had
been
promised,
came.
The
law
was
given
through
angels
who

Moses
for

to
people.

Also
before
the
throne
there
was

them,
in
front
and
in
back.

1
Hear,
O
Israel,
you
shall
cross
over
the
Jordan
today,
to
go
in
to
expel
nations
greater
and
mightier
than
yourself,
cities
great
and
walled
up
to
the
heavens;
2
a
people
great
and
tall,
the
sons
of
the
Anakim,
whom
you
know,
and
of
whom
you
have
heard
it
said,
Who
can
stand
before
the
sons
of
Anak?
3
And
know
today
that
Jehovah
your
God
is
He
who
passes
over
before
you
as
a
consuming
fire;
He
will
destroy
them,
and
He
will
bring
them
down
before
you;
so
you
shall
dispossess
them
and
make
them
to
perish
quickly,
as
Jehovah
has
spoken
to
you.
4
Do
not
say
in
your
heart,
when
Jehovah
your
God
thrusts
them
out
from
before
you,
saying,
Jehovah
has
brought
me
in
to
possess
this
land
for
my
righteousness.
But
say,
Jehovah
dispossesses
them
from
before
you
because
of
the
wickedness
of
those
nations.
5
It
is
not
for
your
righteousness
or
for
the
uprightness
of
your
heart
that
you
go
to
possess
their
land.
But
Jehovah
your
God
is
dispossessing
them
from
before
you
because
of
the
wickedness
of
these
nations;
and
in
order
to
establish
the
Word
which
Jehovah
has
sworn
to
your
fathers,
to
Abraham,
to
Isaac,
and
to
Jacob.
6
And
you
shall
know
that
Jehovah
your
God
is
not
giving
you
this
good
land,
to
possess
it,
for
your
righteousness;
for
you
are
a
stiffnecked
people.
7
Remember;
do
not
forget
how
you
made
Jehovah
your
God
angry
in
the
wilderness;
even
from
the
day
that
you
came
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt
until
you
came
into
this
place
you
have
been
rebellious
against
Jehovah.
8
Even
in
Horeb
you
made
Jehovah
angry;
and
Jehovah
breathed
angrily
against
you,
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
went
up
into
the
mountain
to
receive
the
tablets
of
stone,
tablets
of
the
covenant
which
Jehovah
cut
with
you,
and
I
remained
in
the
mountain
forty
days
and
forty
nights
(I
did
not
eat
bread
nor
did
I
drink
water),
10
and
Jehovah
gave
to
me
the
two
tablets
of
stone
written
with
the
finger
of
God,
and
on
them
was
written
according
to
all
the
Words
which
Jehovah
spoke
with
you
in
the
mountain,
out
of
the
midst
of
the
fire,
in
the
day
of
the
assembly;
11
then
it
happened,
at
the
end
of
forty
days
and
forty
nights
Jehovah
gave
the
two
tablets
of
stone
to
me,
tablets
of
the
covenant,
12
and
Jehovah
said
to
me,
Rise
up,
go
down
quickly
from
here;
for
your
people
whom
you
have
brought
out
of
Egypt
have
acted
corruptly;
they
have
quickly
turned
aside
out
of
the
way
which
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
themselves
a
casted
image.
13
And
Jehovah
spoke
to
me,
saying,
I
have
seen
this
people,
and,
behold,
it
is
a
stiffnecked
people.
14
Let
Me
alone
that
I
may
destroy
them
and
blot
out
their
name
from
under
the
heavens;
and
I
will
make
of
you
a
nation
mightier
and
greater
than
they.
15
And
I
turned
and
came
down
from
the
mountain,
and
the
mountain
was
burning
with
fire,
and
the
two
tablets
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
two
hands;
16
and
I
looked;
and,
behold!
You
had
sinned
against
Jehovah
your
God;
you
had
made
a
casted
calf
for
yourselves;
you
had
quickly
turned
out
of
the
way
which
Jehovah
had
commanded
you.
17
And
I
took
hold
of
the
two
tablets
and
threw
them
out
of
my
two
hands,
and
broke
them
before
your
eyes.
18
And
I
fell
down
before
Jehovah,
as
at
the
first,
forty
days
and
forty
nights;
I
ate
no
bread
and
drank
no
water;
because
of
all
your
sins
which
you
had
sinned,
in
doing
that
which
was
evil
in
the
eyes
of
Jehovah,
to
make
Him
angry.
19
For
I
was
afraid
because
of
the
anger
and
the
fury
with
which
Jehovah
had
been
angry
against
you,
to
destroy
you.
And
Jehovah
listened
to
me
at
this
time
also.
20
And
Jehovah
was
very
angry
with
Aaron,
to
destroy
him,
and
I
also
prayed
for
Aaron
at
that
time.
21
And
I
took
your
sin,
the
calf
which
you
made,
and
I
burned
it
with
fire,
and
beat
it,
grinding
it
very
small
until
it
was
as
fine
as
dust;
and
I
threw
its
dust
into
the
torrent
that
came
down
out
of
the
mountain.
22
And
at
Taberah,
and
at
Massah,
and
at
The
Graves
of
Lust
you
provoked
Jehovah
to
anger.
23
And
when
Jehovah
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
saying,
Go
up
and
possess
the
land
which
I
have
given
to
you,
then
you
rebelled
against
the
mouth
of
Jehovah
your
God,
and
did
not
believe
Him,
nor
listen
to
His
voice.
24
You
have
been
rebellious
against
Jehovah
from
the
day
that
I
knew
you.
25
And
I
fell
down
before
Jehovah
the
forty
days
and
the
forty
nights
as
I
had
thrown
myself
down
before,
for
Jehovah
had
said
to
destroy
you.
26
And
I
prayed
to
Jehovah,
and
said,
O
Lord
Jehovah,
do
not
destroy
Your
people,
and
Your
inheritance
whom
You
have
redeemed
in
Your
greatness;
whom
You
have
brought
out
of
Egypt
with
a
mighty
hand.
27
Remember
Your
servants,
Abraham,
Isaac
and
Jacob;
do
not
look
to
the
stubbornness
of
this
people,
nor
to
their
wickedness
nor
to
their
sin,
28
lest
the
land
from
which
You
brought
us
say,
Because
Jehovah
was
not
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
which
He
promised
them;
and,
because
He
hated
them,

"Listen,
Israel:
Today
you
are
about
to
cross
the
Jordan
to
go
and
drive
out
nations
greater
and
stronger
than
you
with
large
cities
fortified
to
the
heavens.
2
The
people
are
strong

tall,

descendants
of
the
Anakim.
You
know
about
them
and
you
have
heard
it
said
about
them,
'Who
can
stand
up
to
the
sons
of
Anak?'
3
But
understand
that
today
the
LORD
your
God
will
cross
over
ahead
of
you
as
a
consuming
fire;
He
will
devastate
and
subdue
them
before
you.
You
will
drive
them
out
and
destroy
them
swiftly,
as
the
LORD
has
told
you.
4
When
the
LORD
your
God
drives
them
out
before
you,
do
not
say
to
yourself,
'The
LORD
brought
me
in
to
take
possession
of
this
land
because
of
my
righteousness.'
Instead,
the
LORD
will
drive
out
these
nations
before
you
because
of
their
wickedness.
5
You
are
not
going
to
take
possession
of
their
land
because
of
your
righteousness
or
your
integrity.
Instead,
the
LORD
your
God
will
drive
out
these
nations
before
you
because
of
their
wickedness,
in
order
to
keep
the
promise
He
swore
to
your
fathers,
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
6
Understand
that
the
LORD
your
God
is
not
giving
you
this
good
land
to
possess
because
of
your
righteousness,
for
you
are
a
stiff-necked
people.
7
"Remember
and
do
not
forget
how
you
provoked
the
LORD
your
God
in
the
wilderness.
You
have
been
rebelling
against
the
LORD
from
the
day
you
left
the
land
of
Egypt
until
you
reached
this
place.
8
You
provoked
the
LORD
at
Horeb,
and
He
was
angry
enough
with
you
to
destroy
you.
9
When
I
went
up
the
mountain
to
receive
the
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
of
the
covenant
the
LORD
made
with
you,
I
stayed
on
the
mountain
40
days
and
40
nights.
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water.
10
On
the
day
of
the
assembly
the
LORD
gave
me
the
two
stone
tablets,
inscribed
by
God's
finger.
The
exact
words
were
on
them,
which
the
LORD
spoke
to
you
from
the
fire
on
the
mountain.
11
The
LORD
gave
me
the
two
stone
tablets,
the
tablets
of
the
covenant,
at
the
end
of
the
40
days
and
40
nights.
12
"The
LORD
said
to
me,
'Get
up
and
go
down
immediately
from
here.
For
your
people
you
brought
out
of
Egypt
have
acted
corruptly.
They
have
quickly
turned
from
the
way
that
I
commanded
them;
they
have
made
a
cast
image
for
themselves.'
13
The
LORD
also
said
to
me,
'I
have
seen
this
people,
and
indeed,
they
are
a
stiff-necked
people.
14
Leave
Me
alone,
and
I
will
destroy
them
and
blot
out
their
name
under
heaven.
Then
I
will
make
you
into
a
nation
stronger
and
more
numerous
than
they.'
15
"So
I
went
back
down
the
mountain,
while
it
was
blazing
with
fire,
and
the
two
tablets
of
the
covenant
were
in
my
hands.
16
I
saw
how
you
had
sinned
against
the
LORD
your
God;
you
had
made
a
calf
image
for
yourselves.
You
had
quickly
turned
from
the
way
the
LORD
had
commanded
for
you.
17
So
I
took
hold
of
the
tablets
and
threw
them
from
my
hands,
shattering
them
before
your
eyes.
18
Then
I
fell
down
like
the
first
time
in
the
presence
of
the
LORD
for
40
days
and
40
nights;
I
did
not
eat
bread
or
drink
water
because
of
all
the
sin
you
committed,
doing
what
was
evil
in
the
LORD's
sight
and
provoking
Him
to
anger.
19
I
was
afraid
of
the
fierce
anger
the
LORD
had
directed
against
you,
because
He
was
about
to
destroy
you.
But
again,
the
LORD
listened
to
me
on
that
occasion.
20
The
LORD
was
angry
enough
with
Aaron
to
destroy
him.
But
I
prayed
for
Aaron
at
that
time
also.
21
I
took
the
sinful
calf
you
had
made,
burned
it
up,
and
crushed
it,
thoroughly
grinding
it
to
powder
as
fine
as
dust.
Then
I
threw
it
into
the
stream
that
came
down
from
the
mountain.
22
"You
continued
to
provoke
the
LORD
at
Taberah,
Massah,
and
Kibroth-hattaavah.
23
When
the
LORD
sent
you
from
Kadesh-barnea,
He
said,
'Go
up
and
possess
the
land
I
have
given
you';
you
rebelled
against
the
command
of
the
LORD
your
God.
You
did
not
believe
or
obey
Him.
24
You
have
been
rebelling
against
the
LORD
ever
since
I
have
known
you.
25
"I
fell
down
in
the
presence
of
the
LORD
40
days
and
40
nights
because
the
LORD
had
threatened
to
destroy
you.
26
I
prayed
to
the
LORD:
Lord
God,
do
not
annihilate
Your
people,
Your
inheritance,
whom
You
redeemed
through
Your
greatness
and
brought
out
of
Egypt
with
a
strong
hand.
27
Remember
Your
servants
Abraham,
Isaac,
and
Jacob.
Disregard
this
people's
stubbornness,
and
their
wickedness
and
sin.
28
Otherwise,
those
in
the
land
you
brought
us
from
will
say,
'Because
the
LORD
wasn't
able
to
bring
them
into
the
land
He
had
promised
them,
and
because
He
hated
them,
He
brought
them
out
to
kill
them
in
the
wilderness.'
29

they
are
Your
people,
Your
inheritance,
whom
You
brought
out
by
Your
great
power
and
outstretched
arm.
