1 In the twenty and fifth year of our removal, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in this self-same day hath a hand of Jehovah been upon me, and He bringeth me in thither;

2 in visions of God He hath brought me in unto the land of Israel, and causeth me to rest on a very high mountain, and upon it is as the frame of a city on the south.

3 And He bringeth me in thither, and lo, a man, his appearance as the appearance of brass, and a thread of flax in his hand, and a measuring-reed, and he is standing at the gate,

4 and the man speaketh unto me: `Son of man, see with thine eyes, And with thine ears hear, And set thy heart to all that I am shewing thee, For, in order to shew it thee, Thou hast been brought in hither, Declare all that thou art seeing to the house of Israel.`

5 And lo, a wall on the outside of the house all round about, and in the hand of the man a measuring-reed, six cubits by a cubit and a handbreadth, and he measureth the breadth of the building one reed, and the height one reed.

6 And he cometh in unto the gate whose front is eastward, and he goeth up by its steps, and he measureth the threshold of the gate one reed broad, even the one threshold one reed broad,

7 and the little chamber one reed long and one reed broad, and between the little chambers five cubits, and the threshold of the gate, from the side of the porch of the gate from within, one reed.

8 And he measureth the porch of the gate from within one reed,

9 and he measureth the porch of the gate eight cubits, and its posts two cubits, and the porch of the gates from within,

10 and the little chambers of the gate eastward, three on this side, and three on that side; one measure is to them three, and one measure is to the posts, on this side and on that side.

11 And he measureth the breadth of the opening of the gate ten cubits, the length of the gate thirteen cubits;

12 and a border before the little chambers, one cubit, and one cubit is the border on this side, and the little chamber is six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

13 And he measureth the gate from the roof of the one little chamber to the roof of another; the breadth twenty and five cubits, opening over-against opening.

14 And he maketh the posts of sixty cubits, even unto the post of the court, the gate all round about;

15 and by the front of the gate of the entrance, by the front of the porch of the inner gate, fifty cubits;

16 and narrow windows are unto the little chambers, and unto their posts at the inside of the gate all round about -- and so to the arches -- and windows all round about are at the inside, and at the post are palm-trees.

17 And he bringeth me in unto the outer court, and lo, chambers and a pavement made for the court all round about -- thirty chambers on the pavement --

18 and the pavement unto the side of the gates over-against the length of the gates is the lower pavement;

19 and he measureth the breadth from before the lower gate, to the front of the inner court, on the outside, a hundred cubits, eastward and northward.

20 As to the gate of the outer court whose front is northward, he hath measured its length and its breadth;

21 and its little chambers, three on this side, and three on that side, and its posts and its arches have been according to the measure of the first gate, fifty cubits its length, and the breadth five and twenty by the cubit;

22 and its windows, and its arches, and its palm-trees are according to the measure of the gate whose face is eastward, and by seven steps they go up on it, and its arches are before them.

23 And the gate of the inner court is over-against the gate at the north and at the east; and he measureth from gate unto gate, a hundred cubits.

24 And he causeth me to go southward, and lo, a gate southward, and he hath measured its posts and its arches according to these measures;

25 and windows are to it and to its arches all round about, like these windows, fifty cubits the length, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

26 and seven steps are its ascent, and its arches are before them, and palm-trees are to it, one on this side, and one on that side, at its posts;

27 and the gate of the inner court is southward, and he measureth from gate unto gate southward, a hundred cubits.

28 And he bringeth me in unto the inner court by the south gate, and he measureth the south gate according to these measures;

29 and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches are according to these measures, and windows are to it and to its arches all round about; fifty cubits the length, and the breadth twenty and five cubits.

30 As to the arches all round about, the length is five and twenty cubits, and the breadth five cubits;

31 and its arches are unto the outer court, and palm-trees are unto its posts, and eight steps are its ascent.

32 And he bringeth me in unto the inner court eastward, and he measureth the gate according to these measures;

33 and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches are according to these measures: and windows are to it and to its arches all round about, the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

34 and its arches are toward the outer court, and palm-trees are toward its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps are its ascent.

35 And he bringeth me in unto the north gate, and hath measured according to these measures;

36 its little chambers, its posts, and its arches; and windows are to it all round about: the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;

37 and its posts are to the outer court, and palm-trees are unto its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps are its ascent.

38 And the chamber and its opening is by the posts of the gates, there they purge the burnt-offering.

39 And in the porch of the gate are two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slaughter on them the burnt-offering, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering;

40 and at the side without, at the going up to the opening of the north gate, are two tables; and at the other side that is at the porch of the gate, are two tables;

41 four tables are on this side, and four tables on that side, at the side of the gate, eight tables on which they slaughter.

42 And the four tables for burnt-offering are of hewn stone: the length one cubit and a half, and the breadth one cubit and a half, and the height one cubit: on them they place the instruments with which they slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.

43 And the boundaries are one handbreadth, prepared within all round about: and on the tables is the flesh of the offering.

44 And on the outside of the inner gate are chambers of the singers, in the inner court, that are at the side of the north gate, and their fronts are southward, one at the side of the east gate hath the front northward.

45 And he speaketh unto me: `This chamber, whose front is southward, is for priests keeping charge of the house;

46 and the chamber, whose front is northward, is for priests keeping charge of the altar: they are sons of Zadok, who are drawing near of the sons of Levi unto Jehovah, to serve Him.`

47 And he measureth the court: the length a hundred cubits, and the breadth a hundred cubits, square, and the altar is before the house.

48 And he bringeth me in unto the porch of the house, and he measureth the post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side, and the breadth of the gate, three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side;

49 the length of the porch twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and by the steps whereby they go up unto it: and pillars are at the posts, one on this side, and one on that side.

3 And he brought ^H935 me thither, ^H8033 and, behold, ^H2009 there was a man, ^H376 whose appearance ^H4758 was like the appearance ^H4758 of brass, ^H5178 with a line ^H6616 of flax ^H6593 in his hand, ^H3027 and a measuring ^H4060 reed; ^H7070 and he ^H1931 stood ^H5975 in the gate. ^H8179

4 And the man ^H376 said ^H1696 unto ^H413 me, Son ^H1121 of man, ^H120 behold ^H7200 with thine eyes, ^H5869 and hear ^H8085 with thine ears, ^H241 and set ^H7760 thine heart ^H3820 upon all ^H3605 that ^H834 I ^H589 shall show ^H7200 thee; for ^H3588 to the intent that ^H4616 I might show ^H7200 them unto thee art thou brought ^H935 hither: ^H2008 declare ^H5046 ^H853 all ^H3605 that ^H834 thou ^H859 seest ^H7200 to the house ^H1004 of Israel. ^H3478

5 And behold ^H2009 a wall ^H2346 on the outside ^H4480 ^H2351 of the house ^H1004 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 , and in the man's ^H376 hand ^H3027 a measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070 of six ^H8337 cubits ^H520 long by the cubit ^H520 and a handbreadth: ^H2948 so he measured ^H4058 ^H853 the breadth ^H7341 of the building, ^H1146 one ^H259 reed; ^H7070 and the height, ^H6967 one ^H259 reed. ^H7070

6 Then came ^H935 he unto ^H413 the gate ^H8179 which ^H834 looketh ^H6440 toward ^H1870 the east, ^H6921 and went up ^H5927 the stairs ^H4609 thereof , and measured ^H4058 ^H853 the threshold ^H5592 of the gate, ^H8179 which was one ^H259 reed ^H7070 broad; ^H7341 and the other ^H259 threshold ^H5592 of the gate, which was one ^H259 reed ^H7070 broad. ^H7341

7 And every little chamber ^H8372 was one ^H259 reed ^H7070 long, ^H753 and one ^H259 reed ^H7070 broad; ^H7341 and between ^H996 the little chambers ^H8372 were five ^H2568 cubits; ^H520 and the threshold ^H5592 of the gate ^H8179 by ^H4480 ^H681 the porch ^H197 of the gate ^H8179 within ^H1004 was one ^H259 reed. ^H7070

8 He measured ^H4058 also ^H853 the porch ^H197 of the gate ^H8179 within, ^H1004 one ^H259 reed. ^H7070

9 Then measured ^H4058 he ^H853 the porch ^H197 of the gate, ^H8179 eight ^H8083 cubits; ^H520 and the posts ^H352 thereof, two ^H8147 cubits; ^H520 and the porch ^H197 of the gate ^H8179 was inward. ^H1004

10 And the little chambers ^H8372 of the gate ^H8179 eastward ^H1870 ^H6921 were three ^H7969 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and three ^H7969 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 ; they three ^H7969 were of one ^H259 measure: ^H4060 and the posts ^H352 had one ^H259 measure ^H4060 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 and on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 .

11 And he measured ^H4058 ^H853 the breadth ^H7341 of the entry ^H6607 of the gate, ^H8179 ten ^H6235 cubits; ^H520 and the length ^H753 of the gate, ^H8179 thirteen ^H7969 ^H6240 cubits. ^H520

12 The space ^H1366 also before ^H6440 the little chambers ^H8372 was one ^H259 cubit ^H520 on this side , and the space ^H1366 was one ^H259 cubit ^H520 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 : and the little chambers ^H8372 were six ^H8337 cubits ^H520 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and six ^H8337 cubits ^H520 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 .

13 He measured ^H4058 then ^H853 the gate ^H8179 from the roof ^H4480 ^H1406 of one little chamber ^H8372 to the roof ^H1406 of another : the breadth ^H7341 was five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits, ^H520 door ^H6607 against ^H5048 door. ^H6607

14 He made ^H6213 also ^H853 posts ^H352 of threescore ^H8346 cubits, ^H520 even unto ^H413 the post ^H352 of the court ^H2691 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 the gate. ^H8179

15 And from ^H5921 the face ^H6440 of the gate ^H8179 of the entrance ^H2978 unto ^H5921 the face ^H6440 of the porch ^H197 of the inner ^H6442 gate ^H8179 were fifty ^H2572 cubits. ^H520

16 And there were narrow ^H331 windows ^H2474 to ^H413 the little chambers, ^H8372 and to ^H413 their posts ^H352 within ^H6441 the gate ^H8179 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 , and likewise ^H3651 to the porches: ^H361 and windows ^H2474 were round about ^H5439 ^H5439 inward: ^H6441 and upon ^H413 each post ^H352 were palm trees. ^H8561

17 Then brought ^H935 he me into ^H413 the outward ^H2435 court, ^H2691 and, lo, ^H2009 there were chambers, ^H3957 and a pavement ^H7531 made ^H6213 for the court ^H2691 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 : thirty ^H7970 chambers ^H3957 were upon ^H413 the pavement. ^H7531

18 And the pavement ^H7531 by ^H413 the side ^H3802 of the gates ^H8179 over against ^H5980 the length ^H753 of the gates ^H8179 was the lower ^H8481 pavement. ^H7531

19 Then he measured ^H4058 the breadth ^H7341 from the forefront ^H4480 ^H6440 of the lower ^H8481 gate ^H8179 unto the forefront ^H6440 of the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 without ^H4480 ^H2351 , a hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520 eastward ^H6921 and northward. ^H6828

20 And the gate ^H8179 of the outward ^H2435 court ^H2691 that ^H834 looked ^H6440 toward ^H1870 the north, ^H6828 he measured ^H4058 the length ^H753 thereof , and the breadth ^H7341 thereof.

21 And the little chambers ^H8372 thereof were three ^H7969 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 and three ^H7969 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 ; and the posts ^H352 thereof and the porches ^H361 thereof were ^H1961 after the measure ^H4060 of the first ^H7223 gate: ^H8179 the length ^H753 thereof was fifty ^H2572 cubits, ^H520 and the breadth ^H7341 five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits. ^H520

22 And their windows, ^H2474 and their porches, ^H361 and their palm trees, ^H8561 were after the measure ^H4060 of the gate ^H8179 that ^H834 looketh ^H6440 toward ^H1870 the east; ^H6921 and they went up ^H5927 unto it by seven ^H7651 steps; ^H4609 and the porches ^H361 thereof were before ^H6440 them.

23 And the gate ^H8179 of the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 was over against ^H5048 the gate ^H8179 toward the north, ^H6828 and toward the east; ^H6921 and he measured ^H4058 from gate ^H4480 ^H8179 to ^H413 gate ^H8179 a hundred ^H3967 cubits. ^H520

24 After that he brought ^H1980 me toward ^H1870 the south, ^H1864 and behold ^H2009 a gate ^H8179 toward ^H1870 the south: ^H1864 and he measured ^H4058 the posts ^H352 thereof and the porches ^H361 thereof according to these ^H428 measures. ^H4060

25 And there were windows ^H2474 in it and in the porches ^H361 thereof round about ^H5439 ^H5439 , like those ^H428 windows: ^H2474 the length ^H753 was fifty ^H2572 cubits, ^H520 and the breadth ^H7341 five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits. ^H520

26 And there were seven ^H7651 steps ^H4609 to go up ^H5930 to it , and the porches ^H361 thereof were before ^H6440 them : and it had palm trees, ^H8561 one ^H259 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and another ^H259 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 , upon ^H413 the posts ^H352 thereof.

27 And there was a gate ^H8179 in the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 toward ^H1870 the south: ^H1864 and he measured ^H4058 from gate ^H4480 ^H8179 to ^H413 gate ^H8179 toward ^H1870 the south ^H1864 a hundred ^H3967 cubits. ^H520

28 And he brought ^H935 me to ^H413 the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 by the south ^H1864 gate: ^H8179 and he measured ^H4058 ^H853 the south ^H1864 gate ^H8179 according to these ^H428 measures; ^H4060

29 And the little chambers ^H8372 thereof , and the posts ^H352 thereof , and the porches ^H361 thereof , according to these ^H428 measures: ^H4060 and there were windows ^H2474 in it and in the porches ^H361 thereof round about ^H5439 ^H5439 : it was fifty ^H2572 cubits ^H520 long, ^H753 and five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520 broad. ^H7341

30 And the porches ^H361 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 were five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520 long, ^H753 and five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 broad. ^H7341

31 And the porches ^H361 thereof were toward ^H413 the utter ^H2435 court; ^H2691 and palm trees ^H8561 were upon ^H413 the posts ^H352 thereof : and the going up ^H4608 to it had eight ^H8083 steps. ^H4609

32 And he brought ^H935 me into ^H413 the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 toward ^H1870 the east: ^H6921 and he measured ^H4058 ^H853 the gate ^H8179 according to these ^H428 measures. ^H4060

35 And he brought ^H935 me to ^H413 the north ^H6828 gate, ^H8179 and measured ^H4058 it according to these ^H428 measures; ^H4060

36 The little chambers ^H8372 thereof , the posts ^H352 thereof , and the porches ^H361 thereof , and the windows ^H2474 to it round about ^H5439 ^H5439 : the length ^H753 was fifty ^H2572 cubits, ^H520 and the breadth ^H7341 five ^H2568 and twenty ^H6242 cubits. ^H520

37 And the posts ^H352 thereof were toward the utter ^H2435 court; ^H2691 and palm trees ^H8561 were upon ^H413 the posts ^H352 thereof , on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 : and the going up ^H4608 to it had eight ^H8083 steps. ^H4609

38 And the chambers ^H3957 and the entries ^H6607 thereof were by the posts ^H352 of the gates, ^H8179 where ^H8033 they washed ^H1740 ^H853 the burnt offering. ^H5930

39 And in the porch ^H197 of the gate ^H8179 were two ^H8147 tables ^H7979 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and two ^H8147 tables ^H7979 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 , to slay ^H7819 thereon ^H413 the burnt offering ^H5930 and the sin offering ^H2403 and the trespass offering. ^H817

40 And at ^H413 the side ^H3802 without ^H4480 ^H2351 , as one goeth up ^H5927 to the entry ^H6607 of the north ^H6828 gate, ^H8179 were two ^H8147 tables; ^H7979 and on ^H413 the other ^H312 side, ^H3802 which ^H834 was at the porch ^H197 of the gate, ^H8179 were two ^H8147 tables. ^H7979

41 Four ^H702 tables ^H7979 were on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and four ^H702 tables ^H7979 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 , by the side ^H3802 of the gate; ^H8179 eight ^H8083 tables, ^H7979 whereupon ^H413 they slew ^H7819 their sacrifices .

42 And the four ^H702 tables ^H7979 were of hewn ^H1496 stone ^H68 for the burnt offering, ^H5930 of a ^H259 cubit ^H520 and a ^H259 half ^H2677 long, ^H753 and a cubit ^H520 and a half ^H2677 broad, ^H7341 and one ^H259 cubit ^H520 high: ^H1363 whereupon ^H413 also they laid ^H5117 ^H853 the instruments ^H3627 wherewith ^H834 they slew ^H7819 ^H853 the burnt offering ^H5930 and the sacrifice. ^H2077

43 And within ^H1004 were hooks, ^H8240 a ^H259 hand broad, ^H2948 fastened ^H3559 round about ^H5439 ^H5439 : and upon ^H413 the tables ^H7979 was the flesh ^H1320 of the offering. ^H7133

44 And without ^H4480 ^H2351 the inner ^H6442 gate ^H8179 were the chambers ^H3957 of the singers ^H7891 in the inner ^H6442 court, ^H2691 which ^H834 was at ^H413 the side ^H3802 of the north ^H6828 gate; ^H8179 and their prospect ^H6440 was toward ^H1870 the south: ^H1864 one ^H259 at ^H413 the side ^H3802 of the east ^H6921 gate ^H8179 having the prospect ^H6440 toward ^H1870 the north. ^H6828

45 And he said ^H1696 unto ^H413 me, This ^H2090 chamber, ^H3957 whose ^H834 prospect ^H6440 is toward ^H1870 the south, ^H1864 is for the priests, ^H3548 the keepers ^H8104 of the charge ^H4931 of the house. ^H1004

46 And the chamber ^H3957 whose ^H834 prospect ^H6440 is toward ^H1870 the north ^H6828 is for the priests, ^H3548 the keepers ^H8104 of the charge ^H4931 of the altar: ^H4196 these ^H1992 are the sons ^H1121 of Zadok ^H6659 among the sons ^H4480 ^H1121 of Levi, ^H3878 which come near ^H7131 to ^H413 the LORD ^H3068 to minister ^H8334 unto him.

47 So he measured ^H4058 ^H853 the court, ^H2691 a hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520 long, ^H753 and a hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520 broad, ^H7341 foursquare; ^H7251 and the altar ^H4196 that was before ^H6440 the house. ^H1004

48 And he brought ^H935 me to ^H413 the porch ^H197 of the house, ^H1004 and measured ^H4058 each post ^H352 of the porch, ^H197 five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 : and the breadth ^H7341 of the gate ^H8179 was three ^H7969 cubits ^H520 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and three ^H7969 cubits ^H520 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 .

49 The length ^H753 of the porch ^H197 was twenty ^H6242 cubits, ^H520 and the breadth ^H7341 eleven ^H6249 ^H6240 cubits; ^H520 and he brought me by the steps ^H4609 whereby ^H834 they went up ^H5927 to ^H413 it : and there were pillars ^H5982 by ^H413 the posts, ^H352 one ^H259 on this side ^H4480 ^H6311 , and another ^H259 on that side ^H4480 ^H6311 .
